Alice C. Crozier of Lynnfield, MA peacefully passed away on February 5, 2013 at Kaplan Family Hospice House of Danvers. Born at Lower Argyle, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 28, 1919, Alice followed her older siblings to Malden, MA to become a naturalized American Citizen. She made her career in retail sales at Filene’s at North Shore Mall, followed by part time work at Long’s Jewelers in Burlington. After retirement she volunteered in the gift shop at Union Hospital in Lynn for several years.

Known to her family as “Allie”, she was a dear aunt who showed great interest in the lives and activities of her large extended family. Her characteristic chuckle of laughter and warm-heartedness will be sorely missed by her family and friends. An avid reader, Allie enjoyed her daily newspaper, word puzzles and card games. With her late sister Dorothy she enjoyed traveling and visited most of the National parks in the States and Canada. Her fierce sense of independence and good health allowed Allie to experience life to the fullest to her very last days.

Alice was predeceased by her late husband, Marwood Arnold Crozier, dear siblings Marion, Ella, Wilson, Dorothy, Laura, and Verta, brothers-in-law Clyde and Glenn Crozier, and parents Nellie and Forman Spinney. Beloved sister of Carl Spinney of Melrose, she is also survived by sister-in-law Phyllis Crozier of Wakefield, and brother-in-law Rev. Dr. Wendell Baglow of Concord, NH. Dear aunt to Karen Urquhart, to whom she was very close, her husband Brian, and their family: Brian, his wife Jeanette and daughter Sophia; Brett, and Douglas Urquhart, all of North Andover.

Her many nieces and nephews include: Carolyn Harlow, Center Harbor, NH; the late Frank Spinney, Virginia; Sandra Jones, Tucson, AZ; Clyde Powell, Uxbridge, MA; Larraine Pockwinse, Medway, MA; Brian Spinney, Abbeville, SC; Robert Dodge, Stonington, ME; the late Marilyn Meehan; Stephen Dodge, Amherst, NH; Linda York, Wayland, MA; Rosalyn Finton, Millington, TN; Suzanne Harrington, Mashpee, MA; Christine Gibney, Framingham, MA; Linda Spinney, Springfield, VT; Martha DePriest, Wakefield, MA; Donna Spinney, Malabar, FL; Scott Spinney, Melrose, MA; Carl Spinney, Salem, NH; Peter Baglow, Amherst, MA; Timothy Baglow, Walled Lake, MI; Susan Klose, Concord, NH; Richard Crozier, Wakefield, MA; Beverly Anderson, Milford, NH; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Families and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St., Reading, MA at 2:00 PM followed by a reception at the Essex Village Clubhouse, Essex St., Lynnfield. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM. Interment will take place on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the convenience of the family in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
